WestEnd Films reached global sales in Laudaa feature-length documentary about three-time Formula 1 World Champion Niki Lauda, ​​produced by Noah Media Group and directed by Emmy Award-nominated director James Erskine (Cuba 71).

The company will launch sales at the upcoming TIFF market.

Currently in production, Lauda It tells the story of the former Formula 1 driver’s rise to the top of motorsport, his near-fatal crash in 1976, and his remarkable return to racing. The official synopsis reads: “Off the track, he reinvents himself as an entrepreneur and airline founder, struggling to uncover the truth behind the fatal plane crash that nearly destroyed his airline. Through never-before-heard interviews with Lauda himself, along with his family, rivals and some of the biggest names in Formula 1, the film explores the man behind the legend.”

Contributors to the doc include Lauda’s son, Matthias Lauda, ​​and Daniel Brühl, who played Lauda in the film.
