Compilation of film reviews TIFF 2026: Toronto Film Festival Movies Counter

The 2026 Toronto Film Festival kicked off on Thursday, September 10, and will feature a slew of world premieres including the official film screening on opening night Being human, Academy Award winner Sian Hyder’s follow-up to her Best Picture winner Coda. The 51st edition of the event features 10 days of premieres, gala performances and more as the third stop of the fall festival tour (along with Venice and Telluride) that helps set the awards season agenda.

Among the festival’s world premieres are the latest from filmmakers such as Green book Two-time Academy Award winner Peter Farrelly (I play Rocky), Shakespeare in love Academy Award nominee John Madden (Onward and sideways), Chris Rock (Misty green(And Anton Corbijn)Talent for killing).

TIFF will also include the world debut of first face, From British director Susannah White and starring three-time Academy Award nominee Cynthia Erivo killer(s) From Korean director Hor Jin Ho Ordinary family Toronto plays in 2023.
