Warner Bros Discovery is launching its streaming service HBO Max in Japan.
The company said Monday that it has struck deals with Amazon’s Prime Video and Hulu and will launch HBO Max as hubs within those services starting Oct. 1. It will allow subscribers to access a wide range of offers such as: Dragon House and the house In addition to upcoming titles such as Harry Potter series.
HBO and HBO Max content was previously only available in the region through a deal with U-Next.
As part of its deal with Hulu Japan, a separate entity from the Disney streamer and owned by Nippon Television, the two companies will explore distributing local Nippon and Hulu Japan content on the HBO Max service internationally.
Other titles included as part of the deal Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Lanterns, Penguin, Peacemaker, The Last of Us, White Lotus, Euphoria and Stuart fails to save the universe And also movies like Battle after battle and Barbie.
