Maxton Hall – The World Between Us Fans will get an early Christmas present with the release of Season 3 of the Prime Video YA show on December 9.
The third season will be the final chapter of Maxtonwith Harriet Herbig Matten returning as Ruby and Damien Hardung reprising the role of James. Prime Video has also released a teaser poster for the final season (main image above).
Fremantle’s UFA Fiction produced the German-language hit, which is based on Mona Kasten’s book trilogy. The third novel in the series, Save Us, published by LYX, serves as the basis for the third season of the German-language series.
In Season 3, Ruby is suspended from the elite college Maxton Hall, and all evidence points to James being responsible for her expulsion. This situation not only jeopardizes Ruby’s dream of going to Oxford University, but also puts Ruby and James’ love on the line.
Maxton Hall It set records for Prime Video viewing as fans descended on the show’s set in the wake of its success. It was one of Prime Video’s first youth-skewing hits, setting the tone as the streamer aggressively pushed into original YA series and movies.
Martin Schreyer will return as director for the third season, with executive producers Markus Brunman and Ceylan Yildirim. Yildirim wrote the season with Sandra Stockman, Marilyn Melchior, Katarina Jank, and Eileen Kockler.
Along with Herbig-Matten and Hardung, the returning cast includes Sonja Weißer as Lydia, Aidin Jalali as Graham, Ben Felipe as Cyril, Fedja van Huêt as Mortimer, Runa Greiner as Ember, Justus Riesner as Alistair, Govinda Gabriel as Kesh, Andrea Guo as Lin, and Frederic Balonier as Kieran, Eli Riccardi as Elaine and Dagny Dewath as… Ophelia.
